We stumbled on this recipe dry camping in the mountains of Colorado. We had limited resources to cook with. However, this was easy and great tasting.
Billy’s Chili Original
1 lbs. 80/20 ground beef (pork, venison...)
2 Tbs Billy's Chili Mix
2 cups chicken broth (any broth or water)
- Brown 1 lbs. ground beef with one cup of water over medium high heat. (approximately 20 minutes)
- When beef is about half-way done add the onion.
- Stir in 2 Tablespoons (use 3-4 tbs for more flavor!) of Billy’s Chili Mix (mix well), add 1 cup chicken broth.
- Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer (low-medium) for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
Options: In step 3, add 15oz of Pinto Beans (Drained).
Top with a dollop of Sour Cream and Cheddar Cheese.
